About our Yoga Instructors

Meg Shaughnessy, E-RYT, YACEP
Yoga Studio Manager

Meg Shaughnessy, E-RYT, YACEP was drawn to Yoga over 10 years ago. Since then, she has been teaching a variety of Yoga classes for people of all ages and abilities.

At the end of her very first class, she knew she wanted to spread the vibes of Yoga as a teacher. Within months, she registered for certification with Rhonda Kantor of Global Yoga Chicago. Over the years, Meg has found Yoga to be a mind-soothing, soul-easing tool to help her get through the rough patches of life as well as stay fully present through the joyful, happy patches of life.

She has a passion for small, independent studios and is the former Director/Owner of Yoga Center Manhattan and Southside Om Yoga and Wellness. In addition, she has taught throughout the Chicagoland area at several studios, schools and businesses.

Her classes are influenced by her studies with Kate Potter and Baron Baptiste as well as by work she has done with Tara Brach (Power of Awareness Meditation) and David Emerson (Trauma Sensitive Yoga).

Meg’s hope is to inspire students to find a roadmap to inner peace through classes designed to challenge the body, mind and heart. She encourages students to honor and challenge themselves by practicing at their own pace. Meg looks forward to practicing with you soon.

Dina Lekas, RYT 200

Dina is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor and has always been involved with physical exercising.  Her journey began with years of practicing weight training and aerobic training.  She came to yoga to diversify her exercise practice and quickly fell in love with the emotional and spiritual release yoga brought to her hectic life.  Prior to yoga she was a busy corporate executive managing a sales department.  Very stressed and working many hours per week she recognized there was something missing.  Continuing with her yoga practice she quickly discovered she could shed the stress and anxiety of work on her mat.  She began teaching yoga to her friends and family.  Observing the changes in serenity and balance yoga brought to her first students she quickly realized she wanted to pursue her passion for yoga on a full time basis.  Yoga has brought a sense of calming, compassion and gentleness into her spirit and is eager to share her devotion to yoga with those around her.

Andrea Dudek, RYT 200

Andrea’s journey with yoga began 6 years ago. She has always lived a very active lifestyle and participated in a number of sports over the years. A friend introduced Andrea to yoga as another fitness activity, and not long after, she became hooked on the benefits yoga brought to her daily life. Yoga has helped Andrea to grow strong, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat.

For the past 5 years, working as a primary classroom teacher, Andrea has implemented yoga within her school day. She is passionate about helping children deepen their self-awareness, build self-confidence, and regulate emotions. Andrea completed a Children’s Yoga Teacher Training in the Spring of 2015 and then a RYT 200 hour training. She is eager to share this practice with yogis of all ages and levels. Her hope is that when you step off your mat, you leave class feeling refreshed, nourished, and balanced.
