Amy Axelrood is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a Master’s of Education degree in school and community counseling from DePaul University. Her former work in youth ministry lead her to pursue a career in counseling. Through her many years of experience as a high school counselor, she has gained experience working with adolescents and adults. Amy practices an eclectic approach to counseling which includes aspects of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and EMDR. Amy has experience working with a variety of presenting concerns including self-injury, stress, anxiety, anger, bereavement, depression, and trauma.
