Tyler is experienced in working with adolescents (16+) and adults with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, bipolar disorder, anger management challenges, and obsessive compulsive disorder. He has also worked with clients to address life areas such as low motivation and concentration, work and school stress/dissatisfaction, self-esteem concerns, trouble within relationships, and life transitions. His experience comes from working in different settings and with various levels of acuity/severity (i.e., inpatient, partial hospitalization and private practice).

Tyler utilizes eclectic evidence-based approaches to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and interpersonal therapies. He tailors his approach to his clients' unique needs.

"I believe that most people in this world are doing the best they can with the tools they have. Sometimes, we just need a few more tools in the toolbox and a space that offers acceptance, validation and collaboration, challenge, and support for our values and strengths, and recognizes our resilience. That is the space I want to provide for others.

The key to successful therapy is working with a clinician that is a good fit for you. I would love to get a chance to meet you and learn about your goals to see if we would be a good fit. If not, I am happy to help you seek out other options to make sure you get the care you deserve."

Tyler received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago and completed his clinical training with AMITA Health in Arlington Heights. Tyler has guest lectured at Roosevelt University for graduate students regarding clinical licensure in the state of Illinois.
