Mindful/Gentle Yoga

An easy-paced class with an emphasis on gentle movement, sweet stretches, breathing and relaxation. Each class begins with a meditation. Poses are done carefully and slowly, and attention is held inside the body. This class is best for students who seek a quiet, relaxing yoga practice with an emphasis on mindfulness. Also excellent for beginners, those who have physical limitations, or are recovering from illness or injury. Beginner friendly.

Mindful Yoga

Restorative Yoga and Sound

A gentle practice incorporating the use of props (bolsters, blankets, and

blocks) which allow the body to feel supported and relaxed. Restorative

yoga helps reduce stress by calming the nervous system and relieves

tension in the body. All postures are done on the floor and are held for

longer durations with an emphasis on support and comfort. Relaxing

breath techniques are added for total relaxation. Alchemy crystal bowls,

chimes and Tibetan bowls may be played as you relax, rejuvenate and unwind.

Beginner friendly.

to proper alignment, introducing students to postures essential for strength, flexibility and balance. Modifications are provided to accommodate beginner students. This class assists in bringing the

mind into a state of balance and stillness. There may also be opportunities to safely explore more challenging poses such as arm balances and inversions.

are carried throughout the practice as the asana ebbs and flow

between effort and ease. Modifications are offered for beginning and

advanced students.

This class is offered occasionally as a workshop.  A gentle practice that will gracefully guide you into gentle, restorative postures that will be held for minutes at a time using the support of blankets, bolsters and blocks as well as hands on reiki healing (optional), crystals and oils. This introspective practice will allow the body to move towards deep healing and greater alignment in order to alleviate the effects of chronic stress, muscle tension & pain, and induce natural states of altered consciousness by inducing the relaxation response.
