Rest and Restore R&B Flow
Tuesday September 20th
Time: 7pm - 8pm

Are you looking for an evening of comfort, support, and restoration? If so, join us for restorative yoga to the sounds of 90s R&B. Students will be invited to hold postures for an extended period of time (about 3-7 minutes) while being supported by various props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks. Hands on adjustments will be available with each students consent. We encourage you to wear warm and comfortable clothing such as a hoodie and sweatpants. This is an inclusive class, all skill levels are welcome.  Beginner friendly.

Charity Yin Yoga for Suicide Prevention

An all-levels practice consisting of postures supported by the use of props meant for your body and mind to relax deeper using breath, stillness and gravity. Yin yoga is a practice of rest and restore that can complement your regular yoga practice or other fitness modalities. Practicing few poses with sustained hold times, Yin yoga allows for the slow and deep release of myofascial tissue, ligaments, tendons and gentle compression of bones and joints. It’s a wonderful practice for all levels. Beginners and experienced yogis will benefit from the mindfully designed movements, students with limited mobility and pregnant students are welcome. Accessible for all body types. Beginner friendly.

Restorative Yoga and Reiki Healing

Classes: Sept 25, Oct 16 & Nov 13

time: 6:15pm - 7:15pm

Teacher: Gail Morales

This class is offered occasionally as a workshop.  A gentle practice that will gracefully guide you into gentle, restorative postures that will be held for minutes at a time using the support of blankets, bolsters and blocks as well as hands on reiki healing (optional), crystals and oils. This introspective practice will allow the body to move towards deep healing and greater alignment in order to alleviate the effects of chronic stress, muscle tension & pain, and induce natural states of altered consciousness by inducing the relaxation response. Beginner friendly.
